POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Criminal Justice Instructor
District Employee Assigned to Claremore Campus
Exempt Certified Teacher, Full-Time, 10-month Staff
Starting Date: August 1, 2024
Reports to: Campus Director
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, with 50-minute lunch
Compensation
Package: $56,973 to $70,830 annual minimum salary, commensurate with experience. Health, dental, vision, paid life insurance, and teachers’ retirement paid; flexible benefits plan; sick leave, vacation, and paid holidays. The total minimum compensation package is approximately $96,973 to $104,830 annually.
Primary
Function: In order to promote quality career and technology training, responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, facilitating and instructing secondary students. Deliver course content according to Northeast Tech policy and Career Tech guidelines, provide accurate recording of student hours, proficiencies, and competencies, and provide students with the necessary support for success in their chosen career.
Alternate
Function: This position may be a commissioned reserve police officer with the Northeast Tech Campus Police Department and will be required to act accordingly when necessary.
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement or a related area preferred. Full-time CLEET certification or out-of-state equivalent. Must meet requirements for or hold a standard or provisional teaching certificate as defined by the Oklahoma Department of Education and Oklahoma Department of Career Technology Education. Hold a basic instructor development certification from CLEET or an out-of-state equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years experience with supervisory and/or training experience preferred.
